Reggie Swan better known as "Elo The Source", is a audio engineer/producer with a passion to bring the music that true fans long to hear. A rising force on the West and East Coast music scene, Elo has been noted for his innovative sound and commitment to originality. Influenced by heavyweight producers such as: Tye Fife, DJ Khalil, DJ Toomp , Ryan Leslie, Vinny Idol to name a few.
Growing up in the heart of Philadelphia, PA during the 1980's, Elo was surrounded by the surging trend of hip-hop music, of which he was greatly impacted. After years of being a fan and a desire for a creative outlet, he decided to get in the game and began crafting his unique sound in late 2004. He adopted the moniker, Elo which means "the source, foundation, root" to express how he completely involves himself with the production of each track. As the years progressed, so did his talent; and now his music has heads nodding around the world via mixtapes. Along with producing, Elo's arrangment and songwriting skills have caught the attention of artists such as up and coming rap artist Nova the Rebel from Cleveland, OH, breakout rap artist Lovox Sharpe from Brooklyn and respected author, activist and hip-hop veteran, Supernova Slom from NY. In the summer of 2010, Nova the Rebel featured Elo's beat on the track "Okay" from his mixtape, "Life Under Lights" (available on datpiff.com). In addition to that, Elo joined musical forces with Watts native, Unpredictable R.E.D. and STR-EAT FAME Entertainment. This collaboration has lead to Elo's music being introduced to more people across the U.S. including St. Louis, Atlanta and Los Angeles. As Elo continues to move forward, the word about his talent is spreading and he is quickly becoming a star whose rising is worth the watch.
