Born in Minneapolis, MN, Jazzlyn Soul is not only a Neo Soul singer, but she is also a songwriter and an actress. Jazzlyn Soul has many influences when it comes to her music style, from Lauryn Hill, Mary J Blige, Jill Scott and so many more.
From the young age of six, Jazz wanted to become a singer but was very shy. She was so shy, that she would hide on the side of her childhood home to practice singing so no one could hear her. She later came out of her shell by singing with some neighborhood girls, then moving on to sing at various talent shows, Christmas shows and weddings.
Jazzlyn has discovered that she has a lot more talents to show the world. She is an up and coming actress, and has featured in four films like, "The Saving", "Heart Wound", "Dirty Diana" and "Minneapolice". Jazz is also in the writing stage of her own TV series "Battles for Love" starring award-winning actor Charles D Clark from the hit show Empire. In addition, she has a few more amazing films and TV show she is co-writing on. She's still deeply involved with her music, performing in and out of town and recently has joined forces with the band The Untouchables. The Untouchables feature members from The Classics Ones, which some members are from Prince’s childhood band, Grand Station. Together they jam out to give you that classic Minneapolis sound and most importantly perform for a beautiful cause. At every show, they raise awareness and money for the homeless community.
Jazzlyn has a very bright future and she has some trailers coming out soon for all the films she is involved in, and she also has some big performances coming up. Music videos are coming soon as well, so be sure to check her out! She says she makes sure to have something for everyone. Her name is getting more and more buzz being affiliated with independent powerhouse Rotten Apple Ent and she’s determined to be a household name in no time.
